I love TRX suspension training! If you do home workouts or are interested in doing home workouts I would recommend purchasing a TRX strap. It will cost you about $200 brand new but I’ll bet the farm you can pick one up on Kijiji for a fraction of that.
I’ve anchored my TRX strap two ways. In our last home my husband made all kinds of noise with the drill and installed an eye hook in the ceiling for me to anchor from. In our current home I use a door frame to anchor it (see below). Honestly, the door frame does the trick BUT having this anchored properly from the ceiling is less awkward… Until someone comes over and asks what the kinky contraption hanging from your ceiling is, lol. Whatever works for you. You can also buy kits for your TRX suspension trainer that will have various attachments allowing you to anchor from anywhere. Monkey bars at a playground, a tree, a pole, etc… Oh the possibilities!
This is a simple, beginners workout that can be done when pregnant (or not pregnant). It incorporates some very basic moves – squats, hamstring curls, rows, and pushups. You can adjust your body angle and/or the length of the strap to make these moves more difficult. Start with three sets of this circuit, resting in between until you’ve caught your breath and could speak normally. I do four sets… So I guess that’s a challenge to you. :) If your having stability issues while pregnant, this is going to be really great for you. When doing squats its like having an emergency handle!
